(Review) The Abundance of Katherines by John Green

Another story by John Green was on my reading list for Christmas Holidays: the abundance of katherines. It was not as „rich“ as the other two stories by John Green I read before, but I liked the characters very much. In this story, I was able to find a little bit of myself in each character, which made their actions comprehensible, but also a little predictable.
In this book, Colin is working on a theorem, which tells the processes and ends of relationships, and I am still wondering, whether this works in real. Maybe it is like everything in life, you see in it what you want to see.
All in all, it’s a nice story, particulary if you are interested in useless science (because Colin is kind of king when it comes to it).

(Review) Paper Towns by John Green

image

I really LOVED reading „The fault in our stars“ and expected similar amusement from „Paper Towns“. In my opinion, it couldn’t reach the same level, but it was also very funny and exciting. I can’t imagine any book where I had to laugh AND to cry (not at the same moments, though). Regarding to the sometimes under-developed story which had also some less gripping parts, I have to subtract some credits.
Genre: Highschool-Literatur (ist das überhaupt ein Genre? :D)
